Creative Writing Competition

For lots of students it’s been a LONG time since doing any sort of writing that isn’t social media related! So to help dust off brains in time for the new term – and to help (re)discover the joy of writing creatively – we’re running a Poetry & Prose Creative Writing Competition. You can either:

1. Write an uplifting story

OR

2. Write a poem on the theme of optimism

You can of course write both and enter them separately!

There will be two winners: one for poetry and one for prose. The winners will each receive £50 in cash.

Criteria

• The competition is open to anyone about to enter years 10-13

• The story/poem must be under 1500 words (no minimum word count)

• The closing date is Sunday 18th October (you have until 11:59pm on 18/10/20 to submit your entry)
