Creative Writing Masterclass
Time & Location
About the Event
This is a Masterclass to teach you all the basics for writing a good story, whether that's a piece of flash-fiction, a short story or a door-stop novel. All students between year 10-13 are welcome, whether you've never written any fiction before or whether you're an obsessional writer looking for new techniques; whether you're preparing for the GCSE exam or writing for enjoyment.
This Creative Writing Masterclass will help you to:
- Craft a well-structured plot
- Develop believable characters
- Describe convincing settings
- Create interesting objects for your scene
During the session you will also be able to discuss ideas with fellow students (if you'd like to) and get feedback from the tutor. The session is completely FREE, and will be run by renowned London-based super-tutor Paul Woodward.
"There's no charge for the session because so many young people are missing out on a good education at the moment - I'm hoping to offer a couple of hours per week to teach some new skills and keep brains engaged (including my own)."
The session will take place over Zoom and will last approx. 90mins (with a short break in the middle).
